Filippo Lanza, the new Captain of Trentino Volley

Filippo Lanza is the new captain of Trentino Volley. In the eighth season of his career in Trento (the fifth in the first team after three lived in the youth sector), the spiker born in Zevio, on March 3rd, 1991, will in fact show off on his jersey not only the league title which was won last May, but also the most representative band of the Company of via Trener, with which in summer renewed for two more years his contract.
Lanza will be the eighth player to play this important task in the sixteen years of Trentino Volley activity, the youngest ever with his 24 years and 7 months.
"Filippo Lanza will be the first captain, who Trentino Volley has grown directly into its Youth sector”- said the President Diego Mosna -. “Therefore it’s a great pride for us to entrust him this prestigious band; without a doubt he is the right person to fulfil this role: he is young, strong and very attached to our colors as could show the recent renewal of the contract. My hope is that he would soon lift a major trophy as his illustrious predecessors.”

With the assignment of the captain role, the relationship between Trentino Volley and Lanza, the player of the new squad that can boast the highest number of points scored (1,344 in 156 matches - only six persons have done better than he did), becomes then even stronger and meaningful.
